The Department of Geology uses multiple measures to assess outcomes, both for student and overall program effectiveness.
Assessment of student learning is accomplished by using:
- Results from student self-assessment questionnaire (1998-2016)
- Content-learning evaluation (new in 2017-2018)
- Student performance in courses, especially GEO 4700 and GEO 5200 (Field Methods and Field Camp)
